Florida Division of Emergency Management and Department of Economic Opportunity Host Multi-Agency Event to Support Small Businesses Impacted by Hurricane Ian

Today, the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) teamed up with federal and state agencies to offer in-person services to small businesses impacted by Hurricane Ian from across the Southwest Florida region.

"I'm proud to work closely with our federal and state partners to provide essential recovery resources to help businesses reopen their doors," said FDEM Director Kevin Guthrie. “Small businesses are the backbone of communities and are vital to the economic recovery of areas impacted by Hurricane Ian.”

“Under Governor DeSantis’ leadership, DEO is proud to partner with FDEM to bring federal and state resources to Southwest Florida businesses impacted by Hurricane Ian,” said DEO Secretary Dane Eagle. "This event will serve the region as a one-stop shop for business owners to receive the one-on-one assistance and support that they need to re-open, rebuild and recover."

“Under the leadership of Governor DeSantis, Enterprise Florida is proud to work alongside various partners to ensure much-needed resources are available to businesses and residents impacted by Hurricane Ian,” said Florida Deputy Secretary of Commerce Laura DiBella. “Small businesses are vital to Florida’s communities, and we will continue to support their recovery in every way possible.”
