Membership Requirements
- Any person selected for AHIMT assignment shall have a minimum of two years experience in either emergency management or as a first responder.
- AHIMT personnel will demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to function in a forward deployment environment.
- At a minimum, AHIMT members will demonstrate functional knowledge of the Florida Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP), the resource management systems and procedures, and have completed specific emergency management training, as well as, NIMS/ICS training.
- The AHIMT should include at least two members who are qualified in Basic First Aid or to the First Responder level.
- The required training includes the following course and/or equivalent are listed in the next section.
