State Team Information
The State All-Hazards Incident Management Team provides state agency personnel with the opportunity to bring their experience and technical expertise out to the field! Team deployments offer individuals the opportunity to travel across the state in support of response efforts for disasters of any kind to bring knowledge and expertise to support the citizens of Florida.
Currently the Florida Division of Emergency Management is building depth within the State’s Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). The AHIMT is a partnership of professionals trained and qualified in incident management. The team provides organizational structure and competent management staff to support large-scale emergency responses throughout the State of Florida, and the nation, when needed.
In recent years, AHIMTs have responded to a number of events and missions to include:
- Hurricane Matthew (2016) – County EOC Support
- Hurricane Irma (2017) – County & State EOC Support, Base Camp Management & Oversight, and Recovery Operations
- Puerto Rico Support Operations (2017) – Multi-Agency Resource Center Operations
- Hurricane Michael (2018) – Branch Operations, Shelter Management, and County & State EOC Support
- EMAC Deployments – South Carolina Floods (2015) and Hurricane Florence (2018)
