Technological Hazards
The Technological Hazards Section serves as support to the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC). The staff is responsible for collecting chemical storage data for all Florida facilities. Collectively, they also serve as a technical advisor and information clearinghouse for state and federal HazMat programs. The Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) staff works closely with Florida’s nuclear power plants to ensure they are participating in federally mandated communications drills and exercises.
Emergency Response Guidebooks are dispersed through the
Local Emergency Planning Committee. Locate your county and contact staff for allocation.
