Response - Logistics

The Logistics Section consists of -

The Logistics Support Branch: Responsible for property accountability, vehicle fleet and facilities management, facility security and credentialing, in-state Mutual Aid and the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), logistics planning and training, Division shipping and receiving, statewide agency and state term contracts and procurement during disasters, and management of the State Logistics Response Center to include the Movement Coordination Center and Logistics Operations Center.

The Communications Branch: The Communications Unit is responsible for supporting Division and statewide radio frequency, satellite and telephone systems communications, Managing the State Emergency Alert System (EAS) alert and notification, the state and federal NAWAS systems, hot ring down systems as well as oversight of the Statewide Interoperable Communications programs and projects.

The communications unit is responsible for the development and maintenance of enhancing communication capabilities for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, as well as overseeing Statewide Interoperable Communications to include grants, training and communications exercises.
